A little about me...
Welcome to Mills Park Middle School! I am excited to be your Language Arts teacher.
Before moving to Cary, I lived in the small town of Metuchen, NJ with my husband and three children. You will often hear me talk about New York and New Jersey as they are close to my heart.
My passion for English and writing started in elementary school and followed straight through my time at Boston College where I majored in English. After college, I worked in public relations and earned a masters in Corporate Communications from Seton Hall University. When my family moved to North Carolina, I decided to pursue my long time interest in learning and helping others by obtaining a teaching degree from NC State.
When I’m not at school, I am most happy spending time with my family travelling, shopping, watching sports or just enjoying moments at home together (with our dog, Hudson). Over the summer I was fortunate to spend lots of time celebrating special milestones with family and enjoying the beach. This year, as I begin my 11th year at MPMS, I'll have a son in 11th grade at Panther Creek, a daughter attending her junior year as a nursing student at the University of South Carolina and my oldest son lives and works in Charlotte.
I look forward to an exciting, challenging and memorable year. And remember...“You’re BRAVER than you believe, STRONGER than you seem, and SMARTER than you think!" -A.A. Milne
